How confusing can education be? This program is designed to make children fail.

Hmmmmm – 2 + 2 = 22 ??? As relates to the Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Eastwood would only recognize the second two – ’cause there ain’t too much good here…

Bolshevik-Style Cultural Purge

Bolshevism where the “equality” utopia will reign supreme except for the elites who will continue to live their debauched and obscene lives

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see? ~ Mad Hatter, character in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

If you wondered about the deplorable state of American mis-education, all you have to do is look at the historical revisionist indoctrination in the textbooks, the classroom-forced Islamization of students, the Common Core standards that are dumbing down students across the board, and the Bolshevik-style cultural purge of Civil War monuments and heroes that are taking place around the country with the full approval and instigation from academia, the MSM, politicians, the current administration, and American citizens. Common Core? 6th Graders Taught How to Use Strap-On Dildo

Explicit: 11-12 year olds given sex toy lesson in Jacksonville

Shocking images out of a classroom in Jacksonville, Florida illustrate how 11-12 year olds in 6th grade are being taught how to use strap-on dildos amidst a debate about Common Core sex education standards which have been attacked by some as pornographic.

The pictures were taken by a student with a cellphone camera. They show a teacher demonstrating how to use a strap-on sex toy in a number of different positions.

In one image, the teacher even shows how to insert the strap-on while her buttocks are in the air and her legs up over her head.

In another image, the woman shows the children how to wear a harness to which the strap-on is attached. Continue reading

N.H. Takes Action to End Common Core Mandate, But Feds Still a Threat

Common Core took a hit in New Hampshire last month.

Although the state adopted the Common Core standards, Republican Governor Chris Sununu signed Senate Bill 44 into law, which “prohibits the department of education and the state board of education” from requiring schools to implement Common Core. The bill will go into effect September 16.

Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut also said he plans an informal review of the Common Core standards, despite the state Board of Education voting against a formal review. Edelblut campaigned against Common Core in his unsuccessful run for governor last year.

Common Core is a set of education standards developed under the auspices of the National Governor’s Association to encourage uniform standards across state lines. It received flack from opponents who say the standards don’t help students and that local schools should be more autonomous. Continue reading

Congress Ignores Obvious Problems with State-Run Preschool at Hearing

The U.S. House Subcommittee on Preschool, Elementary, and Secondary Education recently held a hearing titled “Opportunities for State Leadership of Early Childhood Programs.” Although some on the subcommittee made an effort to focus on the duplicative and fragmented nature of the 44 different preschool programs, there was only one brave effort to discuss the preponderance of evidence that government preschool programs are not only ineffective but also, in several cases, harmful.

That courageous member, Rep. Thomas Garrett (R-Va.), who will be quoted in a moment, was a refreshing oasis in a desert of outrageous statements, such as this one by subcommittee Ranking Member Jared Polis (D-Colo.): Continue reading

3 Examples That Show How Common Core Is Destroying Math Education In America

Whenever you let federal bureaucrats get their hands on anything they are probably going to ruin it. During the Obama administration, the Department of Education spearheaded a transformation of American education that was absolutely breathtaking. Over a period of about five years, Common Core standards were implemented in almost every state in the entire nation. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a huge step backward for public education in this country. Common Core has been called “state-sponsored child abuse”, and it is a big reason why U.S. students are scoring so poorly on standardized tests compared to much of the rest of the world.

According to Wikipedia, at one point 46 states had adopted Common Core, but now some states are having second thoughts… Continue reading

Florida school dumps common core then skyrockets to number one in English Language Arts, with 90 percent scoring proficient

There is a reason that people have learned reading, writing and arithmetic in generally the same way over the years, and that’s because the tried-and-true traditional methods work. That’s why many people wondered what the real agenda of the Common Core national standards were when the Obama administration started pushing for it so relentlessly. This ridiculous set of educational standards has left many students and parents baffled and frustrated, and it’s believed to be a key reason that American kids are lagging behind other nations in academic performance. What would happen if we got rid of it entirely? If the results gained by one Florida school are any indication, we would likely all be much better off.

Mason Classical Academy, a charter school in Naples, Florida, prides itself on providing a classical education, which it believes brings about “superior educational results” – and leading the county in English Language Arts is proof they’re on the right track. Continue reading

How Common Core’s ‘One Easy Trick‘ Philosophy Fails Children

There is a scene in one of Heinlein’s books [Starship Troopers] in which the teacher asks the student if he’d be happy just getting the medal for a race he didn’t win. The student is rightly outraged and thinks it makes a mockery of the proceedings.

It wasn’t until last week when I found myself caught in a Facebook thread on Common Core started by my friend and colleague Larry Correia that I realized this scene must be utterly baffling to the left.

You see, my husband posted some examples of Common Core math problems.

He’s a mathematician and it exasperates him when people praise Common Core for “teaching children to think.” Continue reading

Old Collectivist “education” programs merely renamed & expanded

Update on “Education”

Once the public/parents catch on to the goals of government school programs, e.g. School to Work, Goals 2000, Race to the Top, No Child Left Behind, Common Core…the tactic is simply to change the name, give glowing recommendations and expand the collectivist/Marxist dumb down goals to short circuit children’s minds. Why? Ignorant, indoctrinated students grow into compliant, uninformed citizens, easily manipulated. Continue reading

The Common Core Face-off: Hiding the Truth About Choice and Charter Schools

NOTE: Just a bit dated, therefore referrence to names who no longer a part of the picuture, however read and study carefully – IF you are a supporter of Charter Schools or Home Schooling. Contrary to the words of Betsy Devious – Common Core-Uption is still upon the land. Change the names of the players – and nothing will make a difference – until WE the PEOPLE take over the School Boards and route the crooked board members OUT! ~ J.B.

“Those who have the privilege to know, have the duty to act.” ~ Albert Einstein

Obama and ‘Conservative’ Groups Use Bait and Switch Tactics. They are using the momentum against Common Core to complete and further their agenda – “Choice” and Charter Schools.

The truth has uneasy consequences. ‘Conservatives’ and Republicans are revealing their so-called “Choice Plan” that mimics the Obama-Duncan Plan. In an article posted by the ‘conservative’ organization FreedomWorks, their entire proposed controversial agenda for “choice” in education demands rebuttal, discussion and dissection. The Einstein quote at the top of this article validates my decision to act on current documentation, explaining to the American people the danger that these ‘conservative groups’ represent to parents when they demand “choice.” Continue reading

Common Core or Freedom of Choice: Which Will Prevail?

If you have kids in school or you teach schoolchildren, you must remember those halcyon days of 2008, when the idea of a Common Core (CC) to direct and track all American children along educational pathways to careers or college began to take root.

You remember when testing consultant David Coleman and the executive director of the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), Gene Wilhoit, visited Microsoft mogul Bill Gates in Seattle to persuade him to generously supplement future governmental funding of Common Core. And did Gates’ foundation ever deliver! It provided grants to write, implement, and finally propagandize CC totaling $384,605,464 as of June 2016.

You also likely remember when later in 2008, a Gates-aided triumvirate consisting of the National Governors Association, CCSSO, and a big-business-led outfit called Achieve started plugging for federal backing for Common Core, which the Obama administration subsequently was thrilled to pledge as part of a “federal-state partnership.” Continue reading

Educator: Schools teach ‘what’ to think, not ‘how’

A retired college professor confirms what many Americans already believe: universities have abandoned the concept of being a marketplace of ideas.

Common Core Standards Test

Speaking on American Family Radio earlier this week, Dr. Carol M. Swain said campuses used to be places with opposing views and debates.

“Opposing sides came together, people listened, and the person with the best arguments and the best data and ideas would be the most persuasive – and people would leave the debate forum probably thinking differently than when they entered because they would have heard more sides,” said Swain, who had been a professor of political science and professor of law at Vanderbilt University since 1999.

“[But] I think the universities today have a viewpoint, and they’re very much into indoctrination; and when students arrive, they teach them what to think, not how to think critically.”

Good Jobs Are Out There – It’s the Schools that Are Failing

It’s the public schools that are failing, more than the job market. Last summer set an all-time record of 5.9 million unfilled jobs. Manufacturing job openings were at the highest level in years, with 300,000 new jobs becoming available each month.

A Wall Street Journal interview with the CEO of United Technologies, Greg Hayes — who famously caved to Trump and kept the Indiana Carrier plant in the U.S. — has some surprising information about jobs and American workers. His company has jobs for machinists, with only a high-school degree required, that pay $100K a year. The jobs are going begging. Applicants cannot read or do math.

“I’ve got thousands of job openings.”

Do you really?

DeVos: Illegal ‘Students Should Not Be Concerned’ About Losing In-State Tuition

I said that she could not be trusted – she was and is Betsy Devious! ~ J.B.

Betsy Devious

While U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos toured schools in Miami, Florida last week, she told the Miami Herald that illegal immigrant students in Florida “should not be concerned” about losing in-state tuition because the Trump administration is “very supportive” of states deciding for themselves on such policy.

Referring to the words of Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly, DeVos said:

Well, as you well know [immigration] is an issue that’s been widely discussed within the administration and I yesterday referred to [Homeland Security Secretary] Gen. [John F.] Kelly’s comments about the fact that [undocumented] students should not be concerned. They should continue to focus on their studies and continue to pursue their educations. The administration is very supportive of states setting their direction and I would say that would be consistent here [for in-state tuition], too.

B. F. Skinner’s Wildest Dreams, Common Core, DARPA And Children Robots

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. ~ Matthew 18:10 KJV

Common Core isn’t enough! Data Mining certainly not going far enough I guess! Privacy never even considered! Allowing them to use either gender bathroom the highlight of the past year and now the real damage overseen by Change Agent teachers.

Parents, have never heard of DARPA? We warned you this was going to be part of the Common Core implementation. Do you remember our telling you of the computer mouse which will track your child’s emotional responses to items thrown at them while supposedly learning at school?

DARPA – the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency if allowed permission, will be tracking your child’s emotional, behavioral and social STANDARDS! STANDARDS? Our children now have emotional, behavioral and social standards as well as academic? By whose standards?

Who the heck has given the Federal Department of Defense permission to be in your child’s classroom? Continue reading

1984” ~ The Cover-Up

Lies are the only reality. Beauty is against the law. Executions are a daily routine. A brutal reach for power is all that matters. That is the world described in “1984.”

Some educators want us to believe the novel is really about corporate conformity and cameras at traffic lights. Sounds disingenuous. One might even say Orwellian… Welcome to “1984 ~ The Cover Up.”

At a campground in the wilds of West Virginia, I happened to find an old paperback of George Orwell’s 1984. I had read it decades earlier, but dipped in anyway…I was surprised. The book was better than I remembered. It’s that rare thing, a fine novel and a brilliant polemic. To do either of these is difficult. Doing both at once, at this level, is unique. I hereby nominate it as one of the best novels of all time, and a book that every adult should read. Frankly, it might be too horrifying for teenagers.

Orwell plunges deeper than anyone else into the totalitarian impulse, the will to absolute power, the lust to inflict pain upon other humans. It’s a harrowing plunge. You don’t want to believe that people can be so evil. You don’t want to imagine yourself the victim of the cruel and stupid society described in 1984. You probably don’t want to deal with these unsettling questions: how would you behave in this inhuman world? Would you betray your family? Could you be made to love Big Brother? Which characters do you most identify with and why? Continue reading

Billionaire Betsy DeVos, Big Data, and the Public-Private Planned Economy

a Dev(i)o(u)s smile?

If cutting-edge educational technologies can scientifically maximize student learning, then why do so many Silicon Valley bigwigs at Google, Apple, Hewlett-Packard, and Yahoo! send their children to the Waldorf School of the Peninsula, a school which bans computer technology from its classrooms? If high-tech computerization were such a fundamental enhancement to cognitive development, then why did Steve Jobs withhold iPads and other “screen-time” technologies from his children? Why would these tech gurus not practice for their own sons and daughters what they preach (and bankroll) for the public education system? These incongruences signal red flags that the real objective behind the accelerating push for personalized computer learning is not to boost academic outcomes, but to data-mine students for the purposes of corporate-fascist political-economic planning. College Illiteracy is Growing

For a number of years, it was assumed that public education was swimming along, efficiently educating children of all ages. More recently, the products coming out of public schools have caused a troubling concern to leap into the minds of adults: are schools dumbing down the content they teach to students?

That concern seems to have now made its way into the minds of university professors, as evidenced in a recent study conducted by the Times Higher Education. The study examined over a thousand higher education professors and administrators in several English-speaking countries such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, and predominantly the U.K.

Judging from the comments of these professors, the students they are seeing come through their classrooms are ill-prepared, unwilling to study, and in need of kid-glove treatment. Some of the choice comments from these professors include… Continue reading
